Almost there.

We're almost there. We're oh so close to selling our house (I can just feel it!), almost to our due date, almost to Lily starting preschool. We're almost there and I can't tell you how ready I am. I'm ready for a life filled with more normalcy, instead of worrying about the crumbs that Kevin is tracking through the kitchen while he eats a handful of pretzels. I'm ready to hold my baby boy in my arms and to hear his cries. I'm ready for Lily to experience the joy and blessing of having a little brother and am ready to watch her teach him things and learn from him. I'm ready for my husband to have a son to carry on his name. I'm ready to be home with my children and having nothing to do but take care of them.

We have a busy calendar in June and July and before we know it, our little man will be here! Our baby shower is on June 28th and we are going to Sunset Beach for July4th. The recent heat wave has forced us to stay inside most of time over the past week. The heat doesn't really bother Lily. Me, on the other hand, I swell up like a balloon everytime I even breathe in the hotness. Kevin is outside most of the day, so he yearns for the cool comfort of the AC. But, Little Miss Sassypants begs to go outside every night. She is so much fun and isn't scared of a thing. She loves her Wal-Mart golf clubs (even though she only has one of three balls left and her Mommy ran over all five golf clubs by accident), chasing her soccer ball around the yard, and taking off down the sidewalk so her Daddy will come running after her. Though she loves me and laughs hysterically at almost everything I do or say, she truly is a Daddy's girl. I'm chopped liver when he walks through the door at night.

I'm looking forward to this weekend...my favorite time ever is on Saturday and Sunday mornings. When Lily wakes up, she comes and drinks her milk in Mommy and Daddy's bed. She is the hugest ray of sunshine ever and is so happy in the mornings (she gets that from me). We all just hang out in bed and "talk"...she usually gives out a million kisses. I love this, seeing as the though the older she gets, the more selective she is about when she wants to kiss us.

I can't wait until tomorrow morning and all of the kisses I'm hoping to get. I'm almost there! :)

The picture above is of Lily at the park...getting ready to slide down the slide all by herself!

Susan,
I love keeping up with you through your blog. Keep blogging. We won't be at your shower, but I have sent a small gift with your Mom when she comes. The maker of the gift makes precious dresses and she says she will start to make jon jons! You'll need those now. I just got Wyn a precious smocked outfit so Baby Boy Wilkinson will have another cute outfit!! Hoping and praying all goes well with the sell of your house! Take care!
Love,
Jennifer
