Sunny Cloudy/Rainy Days

We headed down to Wilmington for a spontaneous, quick-trip weekend. We were supposed to go to Asheville to meet Kevin's brothers new baby, Kyle. But, the runny nose and cold Landon had was making me a bit too nervous to be around a 3-day-old baby. Although I wasn't nearly as neurotic when Landon came around, I was very neurotic when I first had Lily. And I certainly would not have wanted to be in the same house with a kid who had a cold!

So, we changed our plans and went to the beach. Except, we never made it to the beach. Between the clouds, thunderstorms, and sunshine, it wasn't worth packing up two kids (and all the crap that goes along with taking them to the beach!) just to turn around and pack it up if it rained. Our friends, Carmen, Justin, and their son, Daniel were with us, so we just enjoyed each other's company, did a little bit of shopping, and walked around downtown. It was so nice to go somewhere else and relax. We had a great change of scenary and the kids even cooperated (slightly) for me to take a few pics!
