Sunshine Through the Rain

At some of the darkest moments I've ever had in my entire life (this pregnancy and everything that goes along with carrying triplets is by far the most difficult thing I've ever done...more on that when I feel like sharing), my family brings me so much joy it makes my heart swell.

Landon started potty training himself (I was totally unprepared and not ready to start training him at all!) a few weeks ago and is now in big boy underwear. He poops and pees on the potty all day long and typically goes days without accidents. I was honestly blindsided by his want to use the potty, but I went with it and am so happy I did! He is about the cutest thing since sliced bread in his boxer brief's and whitie tighties. I guess they aren't white, but they sure are tight! Lily is the sweetest thing with encouraging him and letting him know what a great thing he is doing. She tells him all the time how proud of him she is and reminds him that he gets candy if he goes on the potty. Because his potty-training was self proclaimed, we actually rarely give him candy. We've been forced to a few times because Lily insists, but Landon could care less whether he is rewarded or not. He just thinks its exciting to do what everyone else in our house does, which is sit on the potty! He might just be completely potty trained (with no accidents and with the exception of naps and night time, of course!) by his second birthday. Wouldn't that be fabulous!? He just makes me smile every time I look at him. He is one special boy and his big blue eyes make my worries melt away. I'm so proud of you buddy! Whoever said boys were harder to potty train didn't have you as a son! ;) You make my heart swell with pride at every milestone you meet and you truly are more perfect than any son I could have ever dreamed of. I love you big boy and cannot believe you are turning two soon!

Lily is starting dance in a few weeks and I am just hoping she likes it! She said she wanted to do it, but I don't think she knows exactly what it means to "go to dance class". But, she will find out soon enough! I started dancing when I was 3 years old, so we think she is the perfect age. I wanted to put her in a summer session prior enrolling her in the September to May class, because I definitely want to make sure she likes it! I doubt we will have a problem with that, but you never know.

Kevin has been an absolute savior over the past few months and if there was such a thing, he would get husband and father of the year for the rest of his life. Seriously. I'm not always as strong as I look and he is certainly the rock I lean on. I can honestly say, he is what gets me through most days. He is the only one in the world that understands me, my feelings, my thoughts, and my hopes. And I thank God that he does. Some people have no idea how their thoughts, ideas, and opinions can have an impact on others and I am certainly learning a huge life lesson. You have no idea how you'd react in a situation until you are in it. For now, I put one foot in front of the other and remind myself how blessed I am to have two beautiful children and the most loving husband possible. They keep me going through every rain storm we encounter.

Trying to get them to sit still long enough for me to take their pic.

18 weeks pregnant with the girls.

I guess he is preparing for life with 4 sisters. He makes me smile!

Enjoying a cooler evening in the backyard. It's been rare these days because of the heat!

He loves his dumptruck!

It's amazing how the they make the most ordinary moments so special. It's like they know I just need that nudge to remind myself how sweet life is and how blessed we truly are.

So sweet Susan. Just think, now you'll only have 3 in diapers instead of 4!!LOL.

Oh, I can only imagine what you're going through carrying 3 but you seem to be doing a great job and those two cuties of yours seem to make your days a little bit sweeter. Yes, after the triplets come your husband may need to win father of year!

You look great, again I can only imagine what I would look like carrying 3- it wouldn't be as pretty;) Can't wait until those girls come!!! You must find time to blog or get on fb so we can all see them!!
