What's that? Oh yeah...the thing I started a long time ago to keep track of our family! Well, let's just say I can barely keep track of our family in "real life". So, to get it down on paper (or on the computer) is, unfortunately, not a priority these days!
So an update? Lily and Landon are entering in their last month and a half of preschool with lots of activities including an egg hunt, Easter party, and Fine Arts Day performance. Lily turned 4 on April 4 and would prefer that she turned 5 so she can go to kindergarten. She mainly just wants to ride the bus and knows when she is 5 she will be off to the "big school". I'm not so sure I can fathom that idea, quite yet. She had her birthday party at Sparians and the kids had such a blast bowling. She had never been and really enjoyed the concept (with bumpers and ramps, of course!).
Landon is becoming quite the talker. He looks like his Daddy but is becoming less shy by the day. He introduces himself to our neighbors as "Landon Kate" and I quickly correct him telling him that is his sisters' middle name! He loves sports and is really into dressing himself. We don't let him dress himself if we are going in public (school, etc.) but he is allowed to change into different clothes when he gets home. He typically chooses soccer shorts and a striped shirt - a perfect blend of various stripes and colors! :) He called us to wipe him the other day and Kevin went in the bathroom only to find him suctioning his face with the plunger. Maybe he was bored? YUCK! He is such a boy...
The girls' are getting huge. They are smiley, bouncy, and full of life. Caroline will grab everyones hands and toes and suck on them. She is a mouther to say the least. We have to separate her sometimes because she is just so physical compared to the others! Ha. She rolls all over the place and just about bounces out of one of the bouncy excersaucer we have. She is vibrant and chunky and just a happy, sweet girl. She is definitely a Mama's girl and if she sees me, it's all over. I love that, though...especially since she is the baby of all of my babies. :)
Sadie is such a happy camper! She is so laid back (thank you, Kevin!) and has big brown eyes that just light up when she sees you. She doesn't fuss unless she absolutely needs something and is the most cuddly baby. Sometimes I just pick her up just so she'll snuggle her head into my chest and grab onto my shirt. She went to physical therapy a few weeks ago (because I thought she wasn't doing quite what she should) and everything checked out great. The physical therapist reminded me that it's a lot easier for me to pick out what she isn't doing because there are three of them. Instead, I should be looking for what she can do. She has the most hair on top of her head and I'm dying to put a big, fat bow in their hair. They all still have to have the bands, of course...but hopefully, it won't be long!
Reagan. She is the smiliest of them all and is just happy. If she is mad or sad, everyone knows it. But, she can be quickly comforted. She is calm, but fiesty when she wants to be. She loves being sung to and admires her big sister and big brother whenever they come around.
Sometimes when I look at them, I am just so thankful. Thankful they are here, thankful they are healthy, and thankful that they're mine. A friend was telling me just yesterday that "you've been so blessed, Susan"...and I've been told that a million times, but lately I've really been witnessing it. I'm able to enjoy it. My sweet, loving, happy little girls, my boy who things the world is no fun without a ball or a bike, and my four year old princess who things she knows it all. I'd be lost without them. And let's not forget my awesome husband who really doesn't get the credit he deserves.
We are a family that depends on each other and our days are filled with work, love, happiness, and sometimes a few tears. :)
