Did I Mention the Minivan?

It's been "one of those weeks" as I've been trying to readjust to going back to work part time. I think I went through every emotion possible this week by feeling guilty, sad, helpless, happy, anxious...and the list goes on. I have continued to feel sorry for myself and for my family, because I have to work. And as many times as Kevin has told me that I don't have to, I just think we wouldn't enjoy the life we live as much if I didn't. So, I do. And that's just that.

The kids are (of course) doing better than I am with the arrangements. Lily is still loving preschool (and I just found out that Lily is the only one in her class who has never been in time out! I told them to give it a few weeks! Ha.) She always comes home with grass stains on her clothes, crazy hair, and a smile that says she was happy to be there! Landon is growing up just as fast, especially since he is quickly learning that just because Lily loves him and kisses him, doesn't mean she won't hall off and hit him with the remote. Yes, even my sweet Lily has her moments. We've had several interventions this week. He is such a trooper, though. He is sleeping a lot more, which is great...but he is certainly ready to wake up when I do (5:30 these days!)...he doesn't get that from his sister! He smiles and giggles and loves to be outside. His new favortie thing to laugh at is himself when we hold a mirror in front of him. He must think he is good looking! Oh wait, he is! :)

So, the minivan. We got one. A Honda Odyssey and I secretly (well, I guess it's not a secret anymore) am obsessed with it. I feel like such a soccer Mom (am I really 25 with two babies and a minivan!?) and there is a perfect place for every little thing I have to carry in the van. Lily loves it because when I go anywhere with the two of them, she gets to walk around while I get Landon settled in his seat. It's almost like she knows "I'm the big sister, so I get to walk around the van, while Landon has to get his seatbelt on." Well, two seconds later she is being strapped in...but at least she might feel that way for a split second. It's basically the best and smartest thing I've ever done. Call me a dork, but it's so convenient!

Lily starts gymnastics on Wednesday and I am so looking forward to the Queen Bee being on the mat. She will be too cute. We are going to the Pumpkin Farm on Sunday with some friends, so I will post some pictures as soon as possible! Stay warm!
