On Saturday, I finally broke down and ordered Landon a "big boy" carseat. I don't think his feet hanging off the seat and me barely needing to loosen the strap to get him out of the seat necessarily called for a new car seat. I just totally was not ready to let go of my baby boy graduating into the next stage of life. But it was time.
Kevin and I always tag team putting the kids to bed after our nightly bathtime routine. I was rocking and feeding Landon tonight and most certainly was not secretly chuckling when I heard Lily shout, "No, p's (translation: pajamas) Daddy! No, p's!"....I waited for his response as he threatened time out. I could totally not hear her running around her room as fast as possible as Kevin chased her trying to get her pajamas on. There were several time out sessions before she finally realized she was putting on her pj's come heck or high water. I could not believe that Lily was testing Daddy instead of Mommy. I would have much rather it have been me. ;) She definitely knows better than to test her Mommy!
Although we have not officially started potty training, we have a small potty and occasionally, when she feels like it, Lily will go pee pee on the potty. She always tells me when she goes (#1 and #2) but is very adament about when she does or does not want to go on the potty. I was putting our new computer together on Saturday, when she told me she has to go "potpie"...so I nonchalantly said "Okay...", thinking she was just sitting on the toilet fully clothed. A minute or two later she start yelling "Potpie, Mommy! Potpie!". I did not believe my eyes! Lily had pulled down her pants, taken off her diaper, gone pee pee in the potty and then put her pants back on! I totally did not act like she had just won the nobel peace price and let her have an entire mini-sized bag of M&Ms. She was definitely still not eating them until she stepped into the bath! I was the proudest mother ever. However, I quickly remembered she has her mother's stubborn tendencies and I realize she will have to do this all on her own. If I ask her, she will not want to do it. I guess I'll just ignore her everytime she tells me she has to go "Potpie!"...
Lastly, I did not spend a few hours at Best Buy on Saturday buying a computer (see above when Lily went "potpie") and photoshop to edit my pictures. Oh, and I did not get a photo printer either. The printer will probably not be worn out for a while...I never take pictures! ;)
What did you not do last week? Make sure to go see what MckMama did not do last week!

YAY FOR LILY!! PEEPEE IN THE POT-TAY! I smiled at imaginging Daddy dealing with the testy-almost-2-year-old. I can't wait 'til Mady just lets loose on Lynn one day. She's still perfect around him... I guess because she doesn't see him as often.
Oh yes, I'm sure his days are coming! It's good for them, though! Lily is mostly an angel around Daddy. You are right, it's because they see them less. I swear sometimes she is just sick of seeing/talking/listening to me!
