Over the past few weeks, I have totally not been too busy to write my Not Me! posts. We had family in town, the July 4th holiday, and I've been trying to prepare for Landon's first birthday party. But, I would never make excuses, now would I?
Last week, I definitely did not get in the bathtub (with my bathing suit on) with Lily AND Landon because Lily was having a meltdown and could not decide which bathtub she wanted to be bathed in. We typically do not allow her to choose (we always bathe the kids in our big tub) but for some reason this particular night she was distraught about bathing and so I gave her a choice. The choice did not work, so then I offered to get in with her. I obviously thought she would choose "no" for that too, but I was wrong. Every night since, she has asked "Mommy get in with me?"...Isn't that a pretty sight?
At the pool, I most definitely do not try to limit my stressfulness by keeping Landon in the stroller for
This past weekend, I did not spend over 3 hours folding laundry that had covered the laundry room floor for more than a week. The pile was growing at a rapid speed with every day that passed. Sad thing is, there is still a few loads left to wash and dry! I've come to realize that our laundry will never be complete. Ever.
It was certainly not punishment for me, as well, when Lily would not stop kicking her DVD player in the car and I unhooked it and took it down. I was trying to think of another punishment in the car that would suffice, but couldn't. Every time we have gotten back in the car since, she tells me, "No kick my tv, Mom!"...In other words, she wants me to put it back up. But, I just keep forgetting and by that time we are already driving down the road!
While driving around our neighborhood, I did not notice that someone had a mesh gate that goes across the driveway to keep the kids from going out into the street. It looks like it is stored in a pvc pipe-looking container on one side of the driveway. I did not beg my husband to stop and let me knock on the door to ask them where they got it from. What a genius idea! I have not worn myself slam out my chasing Landon's crawling, crab walking, and toddling self up and down the sidewalk and driveway. No matter what the price is, it would be a lifesaver! :)
I am most certainly, probably not, can't be, even remotely, not even a little bit, just a tad in denial that my baby will be turning ONE on Friday. Nope, not me!
Make sure to go check out what MckMama hasn't been doing! Have a great day!

Haha, thats too funny about the DVD player! We have taken Brennan's down too many times to count, lol! I was hoping when we got the van it would have one in the ceiling, but no such luck, oh well!
Try www.onestepahead.com for the driveway gate, it is an awesome site....They have lots of neat things :)
I can't believe that Landon is already turning 1! WOW they do grow fast...too fast :(
