Hi. My name is Susan and I have a sweet, kind-hearted 22-month old daughter (note how close she is to being two years old) and she seems to be missing. My new daughter has noodle legs (for the non-parent readers: it's when your daughter can't stand up by herself and refuses to walk when you are trying to hold her hand). Her pair of noodle legs especially come in handy when I am trying to hold her hand to go down the stairs or get her to pick up her toys. Somehow, she loses all of her leg muscle capabilities and suddenly forgets how to walk. Have you seen my daughter, the one that would always walk her sweet petite self beside me and hold my hand like she would never let it go?
In addition, I have lost the daughter who is the best listener in the world and promptly follows my directions under all circumstances. The past few days, I have heard the words "No, Mommy!" a lot. Way more than I want. Way more than needed. Way too many times. Today, she even dropped the 'Mommy' and just answered a sassy "No!" no matter what I asked her. Needless to say, her sassy side is coming out and she has quickly learned how to put herself in time out when she knows she is headed there. I guess it saves me a few breaths. She even says "Sow -sow, Mommy" on her way to sit in time out. If she is smart enough to apologize for what she is done, she is definitely smart enough to listen and then she wouldn't have to go sit by herself! I swear she might actually enjoy time out! What in the world!?
Lastly, I found my sweet loving big sister of a daughter with her foot on Landon's back only 2 seconds away from standing on him. Is she serious? This was after she kept grabbing his hands trying to drag him across the floor to come play with her. Isn't it obvious that you can't drag someone who is bigger than you across the living room? I'm hoping that this is the terrible twos...a bit early. That means it will be over early, right? Or it might just be a glimpse into the future...a future that includes a little girl who is just as stubborn as her Mama.
If you find my real daughter, please send her back to Wake Forest. We (I) really miss her. ;)

Brennan started the terrible two stage at about 16 months....he is 32 months now, we are STILL going through it! I have actually heard some people say that 3 is worse than 2, I don't even know if Brennan could be worse sometimes, lol! Good luck :)
Ah the joys of two small kids...Chloe is one tough bug after dealing with Colin, who wants her to play with him no matter what that entails...and yes, the "terrible twos" don't end at three...I'm really hoping four is the magic age...
hahahaha! oh sus, hang in there!
let me tell you that four is not the magical age... :)
