The kids both started preschool/Mother's Morning Out today. Lily cried for a minute as I was leaving but stopped before I got to the end of the hallway. She told me all about playing with playdough, her friend Sammy (who was in her class last year), and sang "Me & God" all the way home from school. I had never heard that song, but it sure sounded sweet coming from my Lily's mouth! Landon was his usual laidback self. He could have cared less that I was leaving and in fact, he ran as fast as he could to the kid-sized building blocks and didn't flinch as I left the room. I didn't have enough hands to carry all of the supplies we had to bring, so I made a trip back out to the car and when I came back in Landon was standing on top of a chair getting ready to step onto the table. He is not afraid of anything and is definitely "all boy". The teachers said he was very happy and in typical Landon fashion, he ate all of his lunch and snacks. I am so thankful they had a good day, it makes leaving them that much easier! I can't wait to see how they grow, learn, and develop this "school" year! Kevin was sad he was not able to go with them on their first day, but Lily told him all about when he got home from work.
