Not Me! Monday

I most certainly did not not go to McDonald's last night at 10 PM because I was hungry for some french fries. And before I left, when I mentioned my bright idea to my husband, he added a hamburger, large fries, and a chocolate milkshake to my order. No, I would never eat fast food that late at night!

I definitely did not need a tape recorder (so that I could press play and rewind) last week when it came to my children. If I repeated "Please don't drag your brother across the room like that!" or "Landon, get off of the bookshelf, please!" one more time, I just might lose it!

Although I consider them "play clothes", I did not spend hours forever scrubbing grass stains, mud, and food out of my kids clothes. I wouldn't care so much if we were already into the Fall season, but we aren't and their clothes need to last longer than a day!

When I walked outside into the garage after I changed clothes to mow the lawn, my husband did not highly suggest that I change my outfit. You aren't really going to wear that to mow the grass are you? You would have thought I was wearing an evening gown! His main concern was probably my hot pink crocs and socks...or maybe the goucho pants! I was mowing the yard, who cares!?

While eating dinner last night, I was telling Kevin about our day and before I could finish my sentence, my daughter did not say, "Shut up!"...I did not almost fall out of my chair. Kevin covered his face as I quickly let Lily know we do not say that. I had to get up from the table because Kevin was going to make me lose it. I am obviously long-winded, but that is no excuse!

When Lily woke up from her nap this week, I asked her if she needed to go potty, she did not respond with: "I already went!" You did? When? "10 o'clock"...Reminder: She can't tell time. She just knows "o'clock" means something to do with time!

After baths one night this week, Landon did not get up and start running around the room naked while I quickly got Lily ready. I typically don't let him do that for fear that he might have an accident, but I guess I wasn't thinking! Before I could get him back to his towel, he peed into his crib! I was so tired, I just laughed and cleaned it up. I should have known that would happen!

My sweet son loves his Mama so much. He definitely did not clock me in the forehead with a real golf ball and then laugh about it! I was too stunned to discipline him right then and a goose egg quickly formed. Lily made sure to tell Landon that we don't throw balls in the house, we roll them! I'm sure he has noticed there are no more golf balls around! Not real ones, anyway!

Make sure to go check out MckMama's blog and see what she did not do last week! Have a great Monday! :)

Just passing through from MckMama's site! :) I enjoyed your Not Me's! I have had to deal with the "shut up" ordeal with my toddler before. He heard someone say it and thought it was the funniest thing. He didn't forget it for MONTHS and he still tries to casually throw it in now and then. I'm not sure why he thinks it's so funny but it's no fun trying to train him out of it! :)
