My Mountain Duo

We traveled to Asheville this past weekend to see some of Kevin's family and the kids loved the mountains. Lily kept asking to "play on the mountain tops" which I thought was so cute! The four hour drive seemed a lot longer than I remember, but with the help of a cooler and a few stops, we made it there in one piece. We went to the Apple Festival in Hendersonville and the weather was gorgeous. We later went on a paddleboat ride, but that only lasted about 3 minutes. Lily kindly let us know that she was ready to "get out"...We got to meet Baby Kyle (our new nephew) and all was well in the world when Lily got to hold Baby Kyle. The entire way to Asheville she kept reminding us that she would sit down and hold Baby Kyle. She repeatedly told Landon "Gentle with the baby, Landon...Gentle!"...and he would give her a look as if he would oblige. I must admit, they are becoming quite the pair! Lily has developed into a young mother and is constantly reminding me of the good and bad that Landon is doing. She is encouraging, loving, thoughtful, and doesn't miss a beat. She practices strolling her two babies around and pampers Landon. Although, if he is in her way, she definitely lets him know! Landon is probably trying to figure out why God gave him two mothers, but loves us just the same. He is still kindhearted, laid back, loves anything to do with balls, and follows his big sister around. He has a huge smile and his kisses just melt my heart. They are quite the duo and I am so happy to call them mine.
